Governance

Framwellgate Moor Youth & Community Association (FMYCA) is governed by a board of trustees. The Association is an Incorporated Charitable Organisation. Trustees must comply with FMYCA’s governing document and the law. They must also act in the Association’s best interests and manage the resources responsibly. Trustees are responsible for their actions to the Charity Commission. They are led by the Executive group (Chair, Treasurer and Secretary) who meet on a regular basis (at least weekly). Bi-monthly management meetings of the board of trustees are held at which the Executive group formally reports back to the trustees (in addition to regular emails to keep everyone up-to-date). the Association publishes finances and submits an Annual Report & Accounts to the Charity Commission, which are also presented to the AGM.

The Association is always looking for new Trustees with a different range of skills and knowledge from the existing members of the Management Committee. We would particularly welcome younger people especially in the under 18 age range. If you have the time or interest to become involved please contact the Centre via the ‘CONTACT US‘ page for further information.
